Kenneth M. Jastrow II - Chairman of the Board
Kenneth M. Jastrow II is the Chairman of the Board. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Temple-Inland, positions he held from 2000 to 2007. Mr. Jastrow served Temple-Inland in various capacities since 1991, including President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Group Vice President. He also serves on the boards of MGIC Investment Corporation and KB Home, for which he currently serves as acting lead director.
Kenneth R. Dubuque
Kenneth R. Dubuque is President and Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Financial Group. He joined Guaranty Bank in October 1998 as President and Chief Executive Officer. In 2000, he became Group Vice President of Temple-Inland.
He sits on the Board of the Financial Services Roundtable and on the American Bankers Association CEO Council, and he chairs the Central Texas Chapter of the American Cancer Society, and was the founding chairman of the Texas Mezzanine Fund and on the board of American Youthworks.
David W. Biegler
David W. Biegler serves as Chairman of Estrella Energy, L.P. Mr. Biegler was Vice Chairman of TXU Corporation until his retirement in 2001. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer of TXU Corporation from 1997 to December 2001, and prior to that served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ENSERCH Corporation. He also serves on the boards of Dynegy Inc., Trinity Industries, Inc., Austin Industries, Inc., Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and Animal Health International.
Larry R. Faulkner
Larry R. Faulkner has served on the board of Guaranty Bank since 2002 and Temple-Inland since 2005. Since 2006 he has served as President of the Houston Endowment, Inc. He served as President of The University of Texas from 1998 to 2006. Dr. Faulkner also serves on the boards of Sandia Corporation and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation.
Robert V. Kavanaugh
Robert V. Kavanaugh has served on the board of Guaranty Bank since 1997. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Stockton Savings Bank in Stockton, California from 1994 until his retirement in 1997 when Guaranty Bank acquired Stockton Savings.
Leigh M. McAlister
Leigh M. McAlister has been a professor with the University of Texas at Austin since 1986. From 2003 to 2005, Dr. McAlister was Executive Director of the Marketing Science Institute. She is a member of the Editorial Boards of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Marketing Letters.
Edward R. McPherson
Edward R. ("Ted") McPherson serves as Chief Executive Officer of InterSolve Group, Inc. Mr. McPherson previously served as Under Secretary of Education and Chief Operating Officer of the United States Department of Education from 2004 through 2005, and as Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Agriculture from 2001 until 2004. Prior to that time, Mr. McPherson was Chief Financial Officer for SunAmerica and First RepublicBank Corporation. He serves on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Advisory Council and its Audit and Finance Committee.
Robert D. McTeer
Robert D. McTeer served as chancellor of Texas A&M University from 2004 to 2006. Dr. McTeer had a 36-year career with the United States Federal Reserve System including serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
Raul R. Romero
Raul R. Romero is President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Consulting Group, LLC., a position he has held since 2005. In 1999, Mr. Romero was appointed to a six-year term on the University of Texas System Board of Regents by then Governor George W. Bush.
Robert B. Rowling
Robert B. Rowling has served as the Chairman of the Board of TRT Holdings, Inc., a privately owned holding company with interests in businesses engaged in hospitality, energy, fitness and real estate since 1996. Mr. Rowling’s principal occupation is directing the business operations of TRT Holdings, Inc. He also serves on The University of Texas System Board of Regents and is the Chairman of the Board of The University of Texas Investment Management Company.
John Stuart III
John Stuart joined Guaranty Bank as Chief Lending Officer in 1990 and retired in 2003 as Vice Chairman. Prior to joining Guaranty, he had a 30 year career with the FirstRepublic Bank system, serving in various capacities including President, FirstRepubic Bank Dallas. Mr. Stuart joined the board of Guaranty Bank following his retirement.
Larry E. Temple
Larry E. Temple has served on the boards of Guaranty Bank and Temple-Inland since 1991. Mr. Temple is an attorney in private practice. He has served as Chairman of the Texas Select Committee on Higher Education, as Chairman of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and as member of the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation. He formerly served as Special Counsel to President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Bill Walker
Bill Walker has served on the board of Guaranty Bank since 2002. He had a 36-year career with Motorola Inc., serving in a variety of manufacturing and leadership positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector from 2000 until his retirement in 2004.
